FASQ.online (English)

FASD-Fachzentrum Hamburg e.V.

Dear parents, dear participants,

the following questionnaire FASQ (Fetal Alcohol Symptoms Questionnaire) was developed by Dr. rer. medic. Reinhold Feldmann / Klinikum Walstedde.

The questionnaire supports an initial assessment of possible indications of a Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD). It can be used with children and adolescents up to the age of 18 as well as with adults.

The FASQ is particularly helpful when typical features of FASD are not clearly recognisable or when no diagnosis has been made so far.

In addition, the questionnaire helps to distinguish FASD from other possible causes of similar symptoms, for example ADHD, autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or the effects of deprivation or traumatic experiences (e.g. PTSD).

The results can help to assess whether a specialist medical evaluation for FASD is advisable or recommended.

The FASQ does not provide a diagnosis. It serves as orientation and support for a possible further evaluation.

THE FASQ.ONLINE IN ITSELF HAS NO DIAGNOSTIC VALIDITY !!!

How the rating works

In the FASQ.online you will find a list of behaviours and characteristics. For each statement, please rate how far it applies to your child:

  • The statement applies never
  • The statement applies sometimes
  • The statement applies often
  • The statement applies always

Please take your time with the rating and consider carefully how far the statement applies to your child / adolescent / adult.

Let’s get started!
